Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month; the theme is normally a lecture or presentation on a particular astronomical topic given by guest speakers or society members. Meetings of an informal nature, where members have the opportunity to show something about their interests occur two weeks later, also on a Wednesday.

The venue is the Quaker Meeting House. Doors open at 7.00pm with meetings starting around 7.30pm and ending between 9.30 and 10pm.
