The Leeds Astronomical Society was established in the early 1800's and is still very active today. Our Society is open to all comers: we have no distinctions according to age or experience! You are welcome to try us out before you decide to join - no obligation!
Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month; the theme is normally a presentation on a particular astronomical topic given by guest speakers or society members. We meet at the Quaker Meeting House, Carlton Hill, 188 Woodhouse Lane, Leeds LS2 9DX. More information can be found here.
We also host several observing sessions at The New Inn at Eccup. These are open to anyone, member or not, with no charge. They are informal observing sessions where members use their telescopes and chat about astronomy.
